LWVP Volunteers clear the brash at Pit 60
Making a huge bonfire is not regarded as best practice these days but some sites just aren't accessible for chippers and there is nowhere to hide a massive collection of brash next to the Thames. Needless to say the volunteer group were more than happy to have a rare burn up. The hedgelayers just have a few more metres to complete for this season and once that is cleared up we will be able to leave the reserve in peace and quiet for the spring arrivals. Thanks to Ian, Diego, Nigel, Marcus, and Ian and Bee for a day of hard work and good company and not forgetting the flapjack.
