After a successful trip to Rushy Common and Tar Lakes to
look at water quality in April, I was thrilled to welcome 1st
Standlake Brownies to Standlake Common Nature Reserve yesterday.
The 17 girls and their Brownie leaders spent time bird spotting in the hide and in the surrounding reserve looking at different colours and shapes in nature.
Among those birds spotted were Oystercatchers,
a Great crested grebe, a Cormorant and plenty of Coots!
